Books for Sun Certified Java Architect

Sun's most advanced certification program in Java technology is - Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for Java 2 Platform. Please refer to the Sun's site for more details. Given below are some of the good books that may be used to prepare for the Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for Java exam.

In March 2002 the first book on SCEA was released. Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for J2EE Technology Study Guide by Mark Cade, Simon Roberts is a good buy for this exam. Though the book by no means is sufficient to prepare for the exam, it covers useful information on many technologies. You will probably need to read some of the other books, and then read this book.

Enterprise Javabeans by Richard Monson-Haefel

Java Enterprise in a Nutshell : A Desktop Quick Reference (Nutshell Handbook) by David Flanagan, Jim Farley, William Crawford, Kris Magnusson

UML Distilled, Second Edition: A Brief Guide to the Standard Object Modeling Language by Martin Fowler, Kendall Scott

Design Patterns by Erich Gamma, Richard Helm, Ralph Johnson, John Vlissides, Grady Booch
